It is light yellow colored, soft bodied, very small insect. On its back side, there are two small sting-like protrusions. These insects suck the sap of the leaves, due to which the leaves turn yellow and shrink and then dry up. Aphids secrete sugar-sweet juice from their glands, which promotes fungal diseases.
