Wheat: Fertilizer Management at First Irrigation

We all are aware of the importance of fertilizer and irrigation. But do you know what is the right time to apply irrigation and fertilizer? When to do the first irrigation?

First irrigation should be done about 20 to 25 days after sowing of wheat.

What are the symptoms of zinc deficiency?

Zinc deficiency hinders plant growth. Plants with zinc deficiency are stunted as compared to healthy plants.

Lower leaves turn yellow.

If zinc is not replenished in time, brown spots appear on the leaves.
How to supply Zinc?

If symptoms of zinc deficiency are observed in standing crop, spray 2 kg zinc and 6 kg urea in 320 liters of water per acre of land.

If top dressing of urea has been done earlier, instead of urea, use water of 1 kg of slaked lime.

To increase the yield of wheat, spray 4 kg country starter per acre of field at the time of weeding and hoeing 5-6 days after the first irrigation.
