Fresh tubers should not be selected for transplanting.

Transplant freshly dug tubers immediately and store for about 1 month. After this it can be planted in the main field.

Select tubers with a diameter of 2 to 3 cm and a weight of 20 to 30 grams for transplanting.

Large sized tubers take longer to germinate. However, the growth of large tubers is good and the plants also flower early.

After this, prepare a solution by mixing 25 grams of Bavistin in 100 liters of water.

Soak the tubers in this solution for 15 minutes. Then dry it in a shaded place.

Trichoderma viridi can also be treated with 10 grams per kilogram of tubers.
How to transplant tubers?

The distance between the tubers is decided according to the type of plant and the soil.

Normally a distance of 20 cm is kept between the tubers.

On the other hand, if you plant at a distance of 30 cm, you will get high quality flower stalks.

Keep a distance of 10 to 15 cm between each row.

Transplant only 1 tuber at one place.

If the tubers are small in size then 2 tubers can be transplanted at one place.
