Mango is one of the most liked fruits. It is cultivated in almost all areas of India. Mango is a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin K. If you want to cultivate mango, then it is very important for you to know the right time to plant the plants and the method of planting the plant.

  • The chances of drying and dying of plants are very less during the rainy season, so mango plants should be planted at the beginning of the rainy season.

  • Plants can be planted after the first rain.

  • July to August is considered the best month for transplanting plants.

  • 25 to 27 degree centigrade temperature is suitable for its cultivation.

Planting Method

  • Mango plants should be planted at a distance of 10 to 12 meters depending on the variety.

  • Mango plants are planted in pits.

  • Prepare pits about 50 cm wide and 1 meter deep for transplanting plants.

  • Leave these pits open for a few days. This destroys the weeds and harmful insects already present in the field.

  • Mix chloropyriphos powder at the rate of 100 g per pit in the soil.

  • Now fill the pits by mixing well-rotted cow dung in the soil.

  • Transplant the plants in all the pits in the month of July-August.

  • Irrigation is necessary after planting the plants.
