  • The symptoms of this disease are clearly visible on the leaves and stem of the plants.

  • White colored powders appear on the leaves and stems of the plants affected by the disease.

  • Leaves turn yellow and start rotting.

  • As the disease progresses, the plants do not produce seeds.

  • Even if seeds are formed in plants, their size remains small.

Control Methods

  • To avoid this disease, treat seed with Carbendazim 50 WP @ 3 grams per kg.

  • Spray 10 kg of sulfur powder per acre of land when symptoms of the disease are observed.

  • Spraying of standing crop with 2 ml Carbendazim per liter of water.

  • This disease can also be controlled by spraying by mixing 2 grams Mancozeb 72 M.Z in per liter of water.

  • Repeat spraying if required at an interval of 10 to 15 days.
