  • October - November is the best month for sowing sugarcane.

  • Sowing of sugarcane in spring should be done in February-March.

  • For sugarcane cultivation, loamy soil, sandy soil, yellow soil and black heavy soil are best.

  • It is important to have good drainage system in the fields.

  • Weed control is necessary for about 4 months after sowing.

  • Irrigate once in every 15 days during cold season. At the same time, irrigate at about 8 to 10 intervals in summer.

  • For a good crop, cow dung and organic manure can be used.

  • All the rows of sugarcane should be tied to prevent the sugarcane from falling.

  • Along with this, the plants can be saved from falling by adding soil through the riser.

  • Plants sown in October-November should be soiled for the first time in February-March and second time in May.

  • Sugarcane should be harvested close to the ground surface.
