• Select improved varieties and healthy seeds to get good crop.

• Before sowing, treat the seed with Thiram @ 2 gm per kg.

• Apart from this, 1 gram of carbendazim can also be treated per kilogram of seed.

• First of all do deep plowing with earth turning plow and leave the field open for few days.

• After this, 2 to 3 times light plowing with native plow or cultivator.

• To get good crop, mix 2 tonnes of cow dung per acre of land.

• Compost manure can also be used instead of cow dung.

• After plowing, apply a pat to make the soil of the field level and friable.

sowing method

• Sow tur in the beds.

• For early maturing varieties, there should be a distance of 30 to 40 cm between all the beds.

• Keep a distance of about 10 to 15 cm between plant to plant.

• For late maturing varieties, there should be a spacing of 60 to 75 cm between all the beds.

• Plant to plant distance should be about 20 to 25 cm.
