• This disease is caused by soil borne fungi like Alternaria, Fusarium, etc.

• The outbreak of this disease increases in high temperature.

• The germination of the seed is hindered due to disease.

• The sown seed rots.

• Even if the seed has germinated, its symptoms are clearly visible on the leaves and stem of the plants.

• Small black spots appear on the upper part of the leaves.

• As the disease progresses, the leaves turn yellow and dry up.

• The stem and root of the plants rot.

preventive measures

• To avoid this disease, treat with 2 grams of Trichoderma viridi per kilogram of seed.

• Apart from this, 3 grams per kg of seed can also be treated with Carbendazim 50% or Bavistin.

• Apart from this, 2 grams per kg of seed can also be treated with Captan 75 WP.

• Prepare a solution by mixing 100 grams of Trichoderma in 10 liters of water. Soak the roots in this solution for 10 minutes before transplanting the plants in the main field. With this, tomato plants can be saved from wet rot disease in the main field also.
