Field preparation for spinach cultivation

Farmers cultivating iron rich spinach can harvest it 5 to 6 times by sowing it once. Spinach has a special place in green leafy vegetables, in addition to iron, protein, calories, carbohydrates, fiber and many other minerals are found. While preparing the field, first do deep plowing for 1 time. For deep ploughing, earth turning plow can be used.

After this, 2 to 3 times do light plowing with native plow or cultivator.

At the time of last tillage, add 10 to 20 tonnes of decomposed cow dung per acre of field.

Neem cake can also be used in the field for good yield.

Apart from this, add 20 kg nitrogen, 20 kg phosphorus and 24 kg potash per acre of field.

For sowing the seeds, it is very important for the soil to be fine-grained. Therefore, after plowing, you must plant a pad in the field.

If the seed is to be sown in rows, then prepare the beds in the field.

Keep a distance of 20 to 25 cm between all the beds.

Sow the seeds at a depth of 2 to 3 cm.

Light irrigation is necessary after sowing.
