Field preparation for gram cultivation
लेखक : Somnath Gharami

The crop of gram included in small and coarse cereals gets ripe in 65 to 70 days after sowing. Many nutrients are found in its grains like protein, carbohydrate, calcium, iron, fat, etc. If you want to cultivate gram, then prepare the field in the manner mentioned in this post for higher yield.
farm preparation
-
First, do one deep ploughing with a soil turning plow.
-
After this, do light plowing twice.
-
For good yield, mix 3 to 4 tonnes of cow dung or compost per acre of land.
-
At the time of last plowing, add 8 kg nitrogen, 16 kg phosphorus , 8 kg potash and 8 kg sulfur per acre of field.
-
After plowing, make the field level by running the pad in the field.
-
Soil is not necessary for gram cultivation.
-
If there is an infestation of termites in the field, mix 1.2 to 2 liters of imidacloprid per acre in 20 kg of soil and mix it evenly in the field.
-
If there is a lack of moisture in the soil, then one week before sowing, sprinkle the soil in the field.
-
Sow the seeds in rows. Keep a distance of 30 to 45 cm between all the rows.
-
Sow the seeds at a distance of about 8 to 10 cm.
