Fertilizer Management in Okra Cultivation
लेखक : Lohit Baisla
High quality crop is obtained by the use of manure and fertilizers in the cultivation of okra. Along with this the yield also increases. Now the question arises that when and in what quantity should manure and fertilizer be used. In the absence of information, many people use it in inappropriate amounts at the wrong time, which adversely affects the crops.
-
First of all, while plowing the field, add 120 to 140 quintals of well-rotted cow dung per acre of land.
-
A total of 24 kg of nitrogen should be used per acre of land. Spray it in 3 times at an interval of some time.
-
Before transplanting lady's finger, add about 12 kg of nitrogen per acre of field.
-
Simultaneously add 12 kg sulfur and 20 kg potas.
-
Spray 6 kg of nitrogen 30 days after transplanting the seeds.
-
Spray 6 kg of nitrogen again at an interval of 30 to 40 days.
-
The crop can be harvested from the plants in 45 to 60 days. Harvesting should be done at an interval of about 4-5 days after the first picking of lady's finger.
By using fertilizers in the above way, farmers can earn more profit by getting a good crop.
