Farmers are being given subsidy for horticulture

To promote horticulture, the government is giving subsidy to the farmers. Apart from traditional crops, you can earn good income by cultivating mango, guava, papaya, banana etc. If you also want to do gardening then read this post carefully. Let us get to know in detail about the subsidy available for horticulture.

Provision of subsidy for horticulture

  • This scheme is being started by the Horticulture Department of Bihar State under Intensive Horticulture Mission.

  • Under this scheme, farmers of Bihar state will be given subsidy ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 62,500 for horticulture of mango, guava, papaya and banana.

Subsidy Amount Terms and Conditions

A separate subsidy amount has been fixed for all fruits. The subsidy amount available for horticulture of various fruits is as follows:

Mango

  • According to this scheme, each farmer can plant a mango orchard in at least 8 hectares of land.

  • Each farmer can plant a mango orchard in a maximum of 1 hectare of land.

  • Farmers can plant mango saplings of Maldah, Bombaya, Gulab Khas, Amrapali and Malika varieties.

  • Up to 50 thousand will be given for mango orchard per hectare of land. This amount will be given to the farmers in 3 installments.

  • Farmers will be given 60 percent of the total amount of subsidy in the first year.

  • 20-20 percent amount will be given to the farmers remotely and in the third year.

  • Of the total plants planted in the mango orchard, 90% of the plants should be protected.

banana

  • It costs Rs 62,500 per hectare of land to plant a banana plant.

  • In the first year, 75 percent amount will be given to the farmers for planting and taking care of the plants.

  • The remaining amount i.e. 25 percent of the subsidy will be received by the farmers in the second year.

Papaya

  • It costs 45 thousand rupees to plant papaya saplings per hectare of land.

  • The farmers cultivating papaya will be given 75 percent of the total amount of subsidy in the first year and 25 percent in the second year.

guava

  • The cost of planting guava saplings per hectare of land is 40 thousand rupees.

  • Farmers cultivating guava will be given 60 percent amount in the first year.

  • In the second and third year, 20-20 percent amount will be given to the farmers.
