• Bhabhutia disease is also called powdery fungus disease.

• Generally, the outbreak of this disease is seen more in the summer season.

• Symptoms of this disease are visible even in cold weather.

• The disease spreads rapidly in moist environment.

• White powdery spots appear on the leaves of Bhabhutia disease affected plants.

• As the disease progresses, the leaves turn yellow and dry up.

• This disease hinders the growth of plants.

Methods of control of ghost disease

• Keep the field free from weeds.

• If the symptoms of the disease are seen, sprinkle 2 to 4 grams of soluble sulfur per liter of water. If necessary, re-spray at an interval of 15 days.

• To get rid of this disease, mix 25 grams of Countryside Full Stop in 15 liters of water and spray it.

• Spraying of Carbendazim 12 per cent and Mancozeb 66 per cent WP 300 gm in 200 liters of water per acre of field.
