Ways to Control Red Spider in Papaya

Red spider is most prevalent in papaya plants. In scientific language, it is called Tretranychus synoverinus. They are small in size and attack in groups. If you also cultivate papaya then read this post carefully. From here you can learn the symptoms of red spider outbreak and how to control it.

  • The fruits become rough and black in color.

  • The circulatory system of leaves is affected.

  • Leaves start turning yellow.

  • New leaves appear to be spreading.

  • Inhibits the growth of plants.

  • As the infestation progresses, the plants do not bear fruit.

Control Methods

  • Break and destroy the affected leaves and fruits.

  • Spray neem oil for biological control.

  • Use sulfur dust to control red spider.

  • Apart from this, spraying of 0.1 percent carathane can also control the red spider.
