The profits from duck farming have attracted people towards them. Mainly 4 varieties of ducks are reared in our country. If proper care is taken of the diet, ducks start laying eggs only in 5 months. major varieties

  • Campbell: The color of this variety of ducks is brown. Their size is small. It lays up to 300 eggs in a year.

  • White Bacon: This type of duck is large in size and has a high demand for meat.

  • Muscovy or Pearl: The color of this variety of ducks is black and white. Due to its soft flesh, its demand is also high.

  • Indigenous variety: This variety of duck lays up to 280 eggs in a year.

things to keep in mind

  • Keep the area where the ducks are kept clean. Keep the floor dry as well.

  • Keep sick ducks isolated.

  • Move dead ducks away from where they live.

  • Give the chicks clean water to drink.

  • Ducks are at risk of getting the duck flu. In such a situation, according to the advice of the doctor, get the chicks and ducks vaccinated.
