It is necessary to select the right soil before cultivating paddy. After this the most important thing is to prepare the field. If you prepare your field in this way before planting paddy, then the yield will be good.
Paddy can be cultivated in almost all types of soils be it sandy, loamy, acidic or alkaline. But for its cultivation loamy loamy soil with good drainage of 5 to 8 pH level is best.
While preparing the field for transplanting paddy, one tillage and once wet tillage is done.
If the organic carbon content in the soil is less than 1%, then mix 25-30 tons of organic manure per hectare and plow it 2 to 3 times. Due to this the manure mixes well in the soil.
Do dry plowing about 3 weeks before transplanting the plants.
Plowing can be done by applying cow dung manure in the field 2 weeks before transplanting.
After this level the field by adding organic manure or green manure for good crop yield.
The field is submerged by filling 5 to 10 cm of water 3 days before transplanting.
Plant the plants in a row. Plant only 1 to 2 plants at one place.
Drain the water from the field after transplanting. Irrigate the field as per requirement.
