Mustard: Prevention from bitter insect

Whether it is mustard or rye, many types of pests attack from time to time in both the crops. Including biting insects. Due to the outbreak of this pest, farmers may have to face heavy losses.   • The larvae of this insect are yellowish gray in colour.

  • Adult insects are brown and green in colour.

control measures

  • Before sowing of mustard, do one deep plowing in the field. This will destroy the pests present in the soil.

  • Keep the field free from weeds.

  • Such pests hide in dry grass and crop residues. So do regular cleaning of the field and remove the crop residues from the field.

  • To control this pest, spray 50 ml countryside cutter in 150 liters of water per acre of field.

  • Apart from this, spray 8 kg Carbofuran 3G per acre of field.
