Litchi: Work to be done in the garden this week

To get good yield of litchi in the coming season, it is very important to take care of the plantation. If you are not aware of the work done in the litchi garden and the maintenance of the plants, then from here you can get information about the work to be done in the litchi garden this week.

  • If twigs are coming out from the trunk and cut parts of the tree, cut them and destroy them.

  • Light tillage in the garden.

  • Clean the weeds, plant residues, etc. in the litchi orchard.

  • Paint the trunk of the litchi tree with boards to a height of 4.5 feet. While preparing this paste, keep the ratio of chutiya and water in 1:1:50.

  • Stop irrigation in litchi plantation 3 months before the arrival of the scene i.e. from the month of November to February.

  • If infestation of bark-eating insect is seen in the tree, then spray insecticides to control them.
