Select improved varieties and healthy seeds to get good crop.
Before sowing, treat the seed with Thiram @ 2 gm per kg.
Apart from this, 1 gram of carbendazim can also be treated per kilogram of seed.

First of all do deep plowing with earth turning plow and leave the field open for few days.
After this, 2 to 3 times light plowing with native plow or cultivator.
To get good crop, mix 2 tonnes of cow dung per acre of land.
Compost manure can also be used instead of cow dung.
After plowing, apply a pat to make the soil of the field level and friable.
Sow tur in the beds.
For early maturing varieties, there should be a distance of 30 to 40 cm between all the beds.
Keep a distance of about 10 to 15 cm between plant to plant.
For late maturing varieties, there should be a spacing of 60 to 75 cm between all the beds.
Plant to plant distance should be about 20 to 25 cm.
