Huge change in weather due to Toute cyclonic storm, know the latest news

An alert has been issued in many states of the country due to the cyclonic storm Tout in the Arabian Sea. This storm has caused heavy damage in the coastal areas of Kerala, Karnataka and Goa. Along with this, there was rain with strong winds in different areas of Maharashtra and high waves were also raised in the sea. As a precaution, fishermen are advised to stay away from the coastal areas.

Talking about the damage caused by the Toute storm, according to reports, 12 people died due to this storm on Monday, while about 17 people were injured. Along with this, hundreds of trees and electric poles have fallen and many houses have been damaged. A large number of people were evacuated to a safer place to evacuate the low-lying areas of the west coast to avoid the cyclonic storm. After causing torrential rains and heavy destruction in Mumbai (Maharashtra), this storm hit the Saurashtra coast. During this time the wind speed was 185 kilometers per hour. More than 2,00,000 persons were evacuated to safer places in Gujarat.

According to the Meteorological Department, there will be an effect of Western Disturbance along with Toute cyclonic storm, so rain will continue till 20 May 2021.

May 18, 2021: There is a possibility of strong winds and hail along with lightning in some areas of Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Wind speed can be 30 to 40 kmph. Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty wind speed reaching 40 to 50 kmph can be heard in some areas of West Madhya Pradesh. East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Coastal region of Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Strong winds and lightning speed reaching 30-40 kmph are very likely over some areas of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds and dust storms reaching 50-60 kmph is expected in some areas of Rajasthan. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely in some areas of Gujarat, South Rajasthan and Konark. Heavy rain is very likely over Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep. Strong winds gusting to 155-165 kmph gusting to 185 kmph can occur along and off Gujarat coast. Fishermen are advised to stay away from these areas in view of the cyclonic storm Toute.

May 19, 2021: Strong winds, lightning and hail with a speed of 30 to 40 kmph are likely in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Strong winds and lightning with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph have been predicted in some areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Madhya Pradesh. Strong wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep Also, the rumble of lightning can also be heard. Lightning has been forecast in some areas of East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over different areas of Rajasthan, Assam, Meghalaya, Saurashtra, Kutch. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Gujarat, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Heavy rainfall has been forecast in various parts of Mahe.

Coastal region of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh. Thunderstorm and lightning could be heard in some areas of Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall may occur over various parts of Uttarakhand. Himachal Pradesh, Sub Himalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe in various areas There may be heavy rain.
