What is a pheromone trap?
It is a kind of plastic bag. A special kind of smell is applied to it. To which male insects are attracted. After going inside this pouch, insects are not able to come out. Different lures are applied to attract different insects. After the male insects are caught, the female insects are unable to lay eggs. As a result, there is no increase in the number of insects.
How to set up a pheromone trap?
To support the pheromone trap, first put a stick in the field. Tie the trap rings to the top end of this pole and hang it. Trap the lure in the lid. Tie the other end of the trap to a stick. In which insects can not come out from the bottom. Place the pheromone trap at a height of about 1 to 2 feet above the height of the crops. Keep emptying the plastic bag at regular intervals. This leaves room for new insects.
