It is a fungal disease.
Gummosis disease is caused by a fungus called Phytophthora.
Wind, rain, irrigation water and various insects work to spread the bacteria of this disease to other vines.
Symptoms of gummosis disease
Raised blisters appear in vines affected by gummosis disease.
After some time these blisters turn into a wound.
As the disease progresses, brown gum discharge starts from these blisters.
Decrease in number of flowers and fruits in vines affected by this disease Comes.
As the outbreak progresses, the vines begin to dry up.
This increases the risk of canker disease in the vines.
How to control gummosis disease?
Use a balanced amount of fertilizers and nutrients to increase the immunity of plants.
To prevent the spread of this disease, break and destroy the affected parts.
Do not leave the remains of disease-affected crops in the field. Remove the affected residue from the field and destroy it by burning.
Do not allow water logging in the field. Make proper drainage system.
To control gummosis, spray 15 liters of water mixed with 25 grams of Countryside Full Stop.
Spray copper oxychloride when symptoms of the disease are seen.
Spray with 2 ml Carbendazim per liter of water.
The disease can also be controlled by spraying 2.5 ml Ridomil Gold per liter of water.
