Late Scorching - How To Recognize ? in this disease First, light green spots appear on the lower leaves, which soon turn brown. These spots are formed of irregular shape which spread very rapidly after getting favorable weather and destroy the leaves. The characteristic feature of the disease is the browning of the leaf margins and tops with scorching. Symptoms of this disease are also visible on the tubers. Due to which they start to dissolve. Control: Ridomil @ 3-4 g/l. or Contaff @ 0.7 ml./L. or Meladew @ 3g/l.
