Due to unseasonal rain and hail, the crops of farmers of many states of the country have suffered a lot. Keeping this in mind the Agriculture Department has recently started 'Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme' in the state of Bihar. Under this scheme, farmers can avail subsidy of Rs.6,800/- per hectare for damaged crops. To take advantage of this, farmers can apply through online by visiting the official website of Agriculture Department dbtagriculture.bihar.gov.in till 18 April 2020. What is Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme?
Under the Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme, farmers are provided subsidy for the development of agriculture as well as crops affected due to drought or flood in the month of July or September 2019. In this scheme, subsidy will also be included for the purchase of agricultural equipment, seeds, irrigation facilities, transportation, etc. The amount of Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme will be sent to the bank account of the farmers. Farmers should make sure that their bank account is linked with their Aadhaar. To take advantage of Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme , it is necessary for farmers to have Aadhar Card, Income Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Voter Card and Bank Account.
Under this scheme, farmers will be given Rs.800/- per hectare for crops damaged due to less rainfall.
6,800/- per hectare will be given for unirrigated crops.
13,500/- per hectare will be given for irrigated crops.
1,000/- per hectare will be paid for perennial crops.
Eligibility Criteria for Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme
To take advantage of this scheme, farmers of all categories of Bihar state who have their own land can apply.
Such farmers who have not availed such scheme earlier are eligible to apply.
Application date for Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme
To take advantage of this scheme, the process of application has been started from 28 March 2020.
Farmers can apply till
18 April 2020.
Farmers can apply through online as well as offline. Farmers will have to visit e-
Kisan Bhawan to apply through offline mode for free. Apart from this, application can also be made from Kisan Common Service Center and Vasudha Center with a fee of Rs 10.
