Agricultural work to be done in the beginning of January

लेखक - Soumya Priyam | 7/1/2021

If you do farming then it is necessary to take care of the crops regularly to get good yield. Along with this, there is also a need to do many types of agricultural work in different crops, vegetables and fruits. From here you can get information about agricultural works to be done in the month of January.

  • Potato: Harvest the upper part of the plant. Leave the potato tubers in the ground for 20 to 25 days. This will make the potato skins tough and the tubers will not get spoiled.

  • Mustard: In this month, beans start forming in the mustard crop. Irrigation is very important at such times. Irrigation will make the grains thick and the number of grains will also increase.

  • Chana: Irrigate the plants before flowering. After about 5 to 7 days of irrigation, do light weeding in the field.

  • Fodder crops: Harvest fodder crops like berseem, rijka, oats, etc. Irrigation must be done after each harvesting. After first harvesting of oats, apply nitrogen top dressing of 8 kg per acre of field.

  • Peas: Weeding should be done in the planted crops in the month of December. Simultaneously do staking to support the plants. If flowers have started appearing in the pea crop, then light irrigation should also be done in the field.

  • Tomato: If you have planted tomato seedlings last month, then spray 16 kg nitrogen or 35 kg urea per acre of field. If symptoms of deficiency of potash, zinc and boron are seen, then supplement them.

  • Mango: Clean the mango plantation. Spray Monocrotophos 04 percent to protect the trees from the pest.

  • Grapes: Harvesting and pruning grape vines. Mix 100 grams nitrogen, 60 grams phosphate and 80 grams potash in each vine of 1 year. Fill 500 grams of nitrogen, 300 grams of phosphate and 400 grams of potash to all the vines above 5 years.

We hope this information will prove to be important for you. If you liked this information, then like this post and also share it with other farmers.
