After causing havoc in many other countries, the swarm of locusts has created panic in many states of our country as well. The swarm of locusts is no less than a serious crisis for the people battling the corona virus. It can be said that this swarm of locusts can prove to be corona for our crops.
According to many reports, locusts cause great damage to Rabi crops like wheat, mustard, rye, gram, barley etc. But this does not mean that locusts do not harm Kharif crops. Rabi crops have been harvested in the north eastern areas of our country. Some people are happy that due to the harvesting of Rabi crops, the locust attack will not cause much damage to crops in India. If you are also thinking like this then be careful. The point to be noted here is that the most suitable time for locusts to flourish. That is, their number will increase further in the rainy season. If these locusts are not controlled now, then after the rainy season, Kharif crops like paddy, maize, tur, bajra, sugarcane etc. will also be destroyed. Therefore, it is very important for us to get rid of the locust outbreak soon.
